#0027 – The Queen’s Veranda

Based on Fashion Plate from the 1930s from NY Public Librrary

I mentioned before that the ROTS looks were the most difficult to fit into a midcentury look – thank goodness for 1930s Fashion Plate showing these gorgeous bias cut evening gowns that worked for both this Veranda Nightgown and the Aqua Georgette one later! This one even had a little attached cape I just exaggerated to get the same feel as the back of the Veranda Nightgown. The fashion plate also showed this interesting triangular inset seam on the hips, so I moved the heirloom stitching to that, and the pearls only in the front here 🙂
