#0020 – The Queen’s Rebuff

Based on Simplicity 1868 from 1956

This one was pretty simple to interpret since the shapes are common in midcentury fashion – the fitted mermaid style skirt, a bodice. Nothing crazy here. I moved the repeating pattern/overlay fabric down to only the sections below the knee seam, and instead of the collar/front dangly beaded piece, I did it as a brooch at the shoulder leading into a draped collar with a little hanging scarf in the back.
