#0043 – The Princess’ Ceremony

Based on Simplicity 1555 c. 1934

For Leia’s ceremonial look I wanted to go back to a 30s starlet bias-cut gown inspiration and this 1934 pattern was perfect with a similar underbust seam. I added the sheer capelet sleeves, and instead of a belt, I imagined a scattering of silver sequins around the waist and dripping down the front- very much inspired by another 30s dress I saw which had a “bow” done in sequins in a similar fashion.
