Jane and Ms Marvel updates

I finished Jane & Ms. Marvel yesterday! We’re leaving Wednesday afternoon, we’ll be into Anaheim that evening. Thursday – Disneyland. Friday, I’ll be wearing Ms Marvel (Kevin is wearing a makeshift Tony Stark), and… I still haven’t decided on whether I’m taking the new Wonder Woman or Scarlet Witch. Saturday, Jane and Ewok Leia (with Kevin’s jedi Luke). Sunday we come home – leaving early in the morning and not getting back til that evening, thanks to the time change and a long layover.

Here’s Jane. At this point the belt wasn’t sewn on and the other shoe wasn’t finished.

(My dressform has a broken neck (that sounds so horrible) so I couldn’t fit the collar around it, so the top button is done up around the top of the form – that’s why it’s sticking up so much. )

Also, my stupid mistake on this? I handsewed the lightning bolt in place before I machine sewed it. I got it all done, was happy with it… grabbed what I thought was the back to sew the two pieces together…… and discovered I’d sewn that stupid lightning bolt to the BACK piece. Man! I just grabbed my pattern and recut it to be a front piece, and just cut out a new back, so it ended up being ok but I’m glad I had enough fabric left over to do that (just barely.)

And in other news, there’s somebody on deviantart pretending to be me. Even copied my bio. Posted pics of my Leia and Padme costumes saying they were of her, and even took some of my artwork and recoloured it. CRAZY.
I reported them and a lot of folks reported this person for me and commented – I really appreciate the support!!!
