puzzle puzzle + Donna updates

Have I ever mentioned how much I love uploading puzzle photos to flickr? I know probably about 70% of the people who follow me on flickr are creepers only following me for pics of girls in costume, so I love to be like, “HERE LOOK AT MY PUZZLES”

I finally got some puzzle glue to glue Ophelia together – they didn’t have the kind I usually get, so I settled for what they had, and it was crap. Took two thick coats instead of the usual one.
I broke out the little Star Wars puzzle set I got a while back and put together the 300 piece one.

Didn’t take long. I didn’t glue it since it’s not really something I want to put up on the wall and I didn’t invest a lot of time in it! I put it in a baggie and put it back in the nice Star Wars tin it came in. I opened up the other one that came with it – 500 piece, and it’s a little more frustrated. All the interior pieces are the same basic shape, and the foil finish on a lot of the pieces make it hard to see what it actually looks like.

Anyway, I’ve also been working on Donna some more.
My two grey knits match well enough. The top section is a wider rib – I had to dye it *just* a tad so it would match the lower section better. The bottom section has so small a rib as to not really be visible – I’m not crazy about it, it’s pretty stiff and thick even after washing, but I may stick with it since I haven’t found anything else locally I like. I need to sew to the top and bottom together and hem it. I’m waiting on the neck-line hem – I want to get my tank top in first so I can get the hem at the right spot.

The jacket I’m totally terrified of. I’m so afraid I’m going to mess it up. I go in my office and look at it for a few minutes, then pick up the scissors and make one cut, then I’m like, “I’m done for tonight.” because I really don’t want to get ahead of myself and mess it up. Anyway:

Working on the jacket - playing with the collar shape. I also took apart the front edge of the jacket, since it also needed to be adjusted. Also the start of my shirt! I got two different ribbed grey knits, one is a wider ribbing. That's the one I'm using for the top piece.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

I’ve got to finish the collar and get it reattached. I unpicked and cut one side of the front straight (it was angled) – I’ve got to sew it back up, and do the other side. I’ve got to take up the sides too, it’s too wide.
I’ve also got to look at the belt – haven’t even given it a thought really.
