Guess what? stomach ache went away. darn it.
umm… oh yeah. for my birthday my grandparents and my parents are getting me new carpet for my room. To go with the new paint on my walls. I really need it. It’s grey right now, just like the rest of the house. But in my room there are huge paint stains and coke stains all over it… yikes. I picked out a nice very dull light coloured lavender… but I think that might be purple overkill. I’ll probably just have to get something neutral.
AND my parents got new furniture for the living room. In my entire lifetime – almost 23 years – we’ve changed furniture once. From the time I was born to about when I was 13 or so, we had this wheat coloured couch and an old brown rocking chair. Yeah, ugh. I don’t remember what the other chairs were. Then we got these blue couches with blue armchairs. Those are the ones we have now. Yes they’re old but I LIKE them dammit. Nice and comfortable.
The new furniture is a sectional couch and two armchairs… and an ottoman. Is that how you spell that? Whatever it is, I think the ottoman is funny. I forgot what colour she said the armchairs were… but she said the couch is “taupe.” I’m not sure about that spelling either, but I don’t like the sound of it. and it’s LEATHER. Yuck… It sticks to your skin and it’s cold and icky. Yuck.
