Finished up the last bit of the nun and delivered yesterday. Fingers crossed everything fits and works ok!
Chase was a very good sport and tried it all on for me so I could make sure the veil attachment worked and double check my sleeve and hem measurements.
I had to take it with me to play practice to finish the hand-sewing on the veil. I finished while sitting in the church sanctuary so of course I had to take a pic.
Luna has an instagram now. It’s Luna Banana Sandwich which is one of Chase’s nicknames for her. So if you’re like me and like following random people’s pet’s instagram accounts, you can go check it out.
Last night we ran a few errands. I had to go find socks at the halloween store so of course we had to look around too.
I’ve seen photos of the Spirit Hocus Pocus costumes and thought they weren’t bad. Finally got to see one in person. Interesting.
Chase’s feelings on me going into a Halloween store…
Found a pair of white knee high stockings that would suffice. Got home and threw them in some dye, they came out perfectly but I didn’t take any photos. Blah.
And then saw this sign at Kroger…
So this weekend is going to be BUSY but we’re going to try to cram in a “Halloween” photoshoot in on Saturday. Which is why I was buying the socks and dyeing them blue.
The plans are shooting a few of my older Halloween costumes that I’ve yet to get done on the white backdrop…
1. Dorothy
I ONLY wore this for Halloween 2006 and haven’t worn it since. Thankfully I can still squeeze in it LOL. I really wanted to shoot it while I still have my hair brunette. This is why I needed blue socks. Can’t find Toto anywhere…. oh well.
2. Dr Forrester
Halloween 2012 costume! This one is all out and accounted for and ready to go.
3. Hermione
Not made for Halloween costume strictly but I have worn it for a lot of Halloweens. It’s overdue getting a white backdrop shoot. Only problem? I can’t find my white button up shirt ANYWHERE. I have no idea why it’s not with the costume. I looked through both costume closets and my closet last night to no avail. WTF.
4. Edith
Again not a Halloween costume but it’s creepy so it fits the theme. One of only two from last year that haven’t been shot yet – I’ve been putting it off since it’s requires taking my “standard” makeup off and redoing my face, but I’m prepared for it this shoot.
5. Galadriel
Not a Halloween costume but I did put it together October of last year so is that close enough? LOL. Between this and Edith that’ll finish off last year’s costumes, and they share a wig, so might as well get them both at once.
AND in the morning we are going to try to go do a location shoot with Anne. I did some needed repairs on it last night. HOMG. So excited.
We are getting a huge temp drop tomorrow. It’s been miserably hot, followed by a couple of days of being pleasant (70s)… tomorrow rain comes in and Saturday high is only supposed to be 52. Location shoot is outside… but at least Anne is like 500 layers of clothes so I shouldn’t be too cold.
