Since I’m stuck waiting on my last bit of fabric for the dress, I did some prep work last night on Edith:
-Got the other 4 panels sewn together
-sewed the pearl buttons on the sleeves and neckline
-finished gathering the sleeves
And I finished up my Leia shirt.

Got it pressed and as much of the thread from the previous hem plucked out – I may need to go it over again once more.

I had wanted to wear the shirt tucked in, but when I tried it on I realized my optic-white jersey from spoonflower did not go with the more natural white of my shorts. Plus, as it turns out, the silver belt I had wanted to wear I had not really bought to actually fit at my hips — I normally wear this belt at my waist with a dress. Sooo it didn’t fit.

It looks fine untucked too thankfully.
But after messing around a bit I decided I still liked it tucked in, and once I was out of the ugly yellow light of our bedroom, the two whites didn’t look quite as jarring.

So I may get Chase to bunch another hole in my belt so I can actually wear it. I also need to get a longer cord for my necklace, right now it’s falling right before the neckline of the shirt and getting lost in my boobs. I also still need to machine sew the rebel symbol in place on the shrug, but I’m waiting til I get done with Edith and have a moment to take the white thread off my machine! It’s never-ending.
