So, didn’t do much for Halloween this year.
I did a sort-of Ginny Weasley costume for work – my cousin’s Harry sweater (so it was nice and big and baggy) over a yellow plaid button-up, a grey knit skirt, black tights and my grey uggs with my red/yellow gryffindor socks sticking out of the top. It was very comfortable – but I got to work and realized I was the only one in the office! Thankfully my boss came in earlier than I expected and told me my costume was very cute, so it wasn’t totally wasted.
I took pictures on my phone but have yet to upload them, so I’ll come back and add them later.
Got home and quickly decorated for trick-or-treaters, and got into Snow White.
Excuse my lack of shoes in those pictures. It’s bad enough sitting around the house waiting on the doorbell to ring in that costume, I didn’t think I needed to add uncomfortable shoes to that as well.
I really want to remake the bodice of that costume. It does not fit well and is pretty uncomfortable – I’d like to fix the armholes, the boning, and shorten it a bit, at the very least.
Anyway, had some cute trick-or-treaters, one little princess who was really excited to see Snow White. Not a single Elsa or Anna. We actually didn’t have as many trick-or-treaters as usual, probably because it got really cold here friday night. Once the trick-or-treaters died off, we ran over to Lauren’s party for a bit, then had to come home and give Indy a bath before she went to the vet the next morning.
Vet thinks she has a GI infection. I was so sure it was diabetes, but she said no diabetes, no kidney failure, she didn’t feel anything was wrong down there. She said she couldn’t tell for sure without a scan, and that wasn’t something they could do there – so they’re going to treat it as an infection and see what happens. Fingers crossed. Also took my car in to get the brakes fixed. November 1st was a very expensive day for us.
