Sorry guys, no art post today. Haven’t had time!
But I would like to post about yesterday and today. They’ve been interesting. I’m going to cut it up into segments.
1. So yesterday morning, Nana tells me they found a snake in the garage. She touched it, thinking it was a bungee cord, before she realised it was a giant dead snake and freaked out. This comes into play later.
2. I left work and went and got a haircut – Frankie wanted to do some cute layers in the back but I told him I had to wear Amidala in a month, so he left the layers til next time so I could have as much length as possible LOL
3. Met Ash, Hannah and Kevin at a mexican place for lunch and had the oddest waiter ever. It was pretty lame. Two wrong meals, which we just ate anyway, no drink refills, sat for 20 minutes waiting on him to show up so we could ask for our bill, finally had to ask another server, original waiter was really weird about the bills, brought me mine back without having run my card, I had to tell him to take it… then he didn’t give me my card back, I saw it in his hand and told him to give me my card!! LOL. Left very small tip. Told Chase to keep an eye on our account in case he ran it like 15 times or something.
4. So then the four of us head over to nana’s to retrieve the dead snake. We find it and the sucker is huge, 4ft long and black. No idea what it was. It got stuck in some of those sticky pad things for rodents and died. Kevin put on gloves and put it in a box we’d brought and taped it up and we threw it away (after taking some pics, of course).
5. We get back to work and drop the snake off at the dumpster, and discover a giant wooden crate. Like big enough to easily fit me in. We are like “what is this???” We tried to get it open but it was nailed shut. We went in and got a hammer and Ash pried it open, and we were screaming that it was a dead body… no a giant snake… etc. Turned out to be a bunch of trash. Like packing sort of trash, not gross trash. So some moron just dropped their giant trash off by our dumpster.
6. My uncle from Alabama was in town, he stopped by in the afternoon so it was great to see him. Wish we could have made up to my grandparents tonight to see my cousin as well.
7. Chase and I went out for sushi for dinner. Then we went to see “Get Him to the Greek” – which was raunchy of course, but we went in expecting that. It was funny though. Enjoyed it.
8. Got up this morning and got dressed and headed over to Nana’s for a wedding! Chase was shooting Sarai’s wedding today, they had the ceremony in the front yard under the magnolia tree, and the reception in the backyard. It was really pretty and fun, the happy couple jumped into the swimming pool fully dressed in their wedding clothes š
9. I headed home by myself (Chase was swimming with everyone and was going to hitch a ride home from Kristie). Well my check engine light came on. What! I hope its nothing bad, we’re going to take it in tomorrow to see whats going on. Anyway I realised a minute after I left that I didn’t have house keys. I called the house and asked Kristie to get them. Pulled back in the driveway and she brought them out to me. Headed back home… get home and I realise… these are not Chase’s keys! I even tried them all to make sure I wasn’t crazy and they definitely were not our house keys nor his car key. I called back and she got Chase out of the pool and they began an hour long search for his keys. Meanwhile I’m sitting here locked out of the house. LUCKILY my parents had our spare key! Chase found his keys not long after that but talk about a comedy of errors. Kristie came back to get whoever’s keys I ended up with… LOL
10. So my parents picked me up and we headed over to the store we bought the serger from a couple of years ago. We were going to ask them if there was someone who could show us how to thread it again, since it was refurbished by them and didn’t come with a manual. Well it ended up being fail as they wanted $65 to show us how to thread it. Nope. We probably would have paid like $20… but not $65. We’ll figure it out ourselves. I found the manual online and I’ll print it out tomorrow and figure it out. Blah.
So that’s really kinda it.
I got some fabric samples. I think I found two things I need – the mesh for Arica and my fabric for Donna Troy. I’ll order them later this week.
