So — photographer is paid off, rentals & planner paid off. Next up, florist & quartet, followed by caterer and cake lady.
This past weekend was SO much fun! Ash, Cath and I headed up to St Louis friday night – we got in around midnight. (We stopped at McDonald’s for dinner and went in the restroom – and there was a pregnancy test on the floor of one of the stalls LOL). I finally got to see Josh & Melissa’s apartment (though Josh was off in San Antonio for the games!).
Saturday we got up and went to the zoo! Apparently it was the first pretty, sunny day of the year for St Louis, and it seemed like EVERYBODY was at the zoo — but we got to see a baby elephant and the penguin exhibit was AWESOME.
Then we ran back to Melissa’s and changed, and went to Fox & Hound to watch the Memphis game with a bunch of Memphis alumni. It was a LOT of fun, we had a great time. After the game, the girls wer like, hey the taxi’s here, and we went out and they had gotten us a limo! I knew they had been planning *something* all day because Cath kept getting on the phone and shooing me away LOL, but they completely surprised me! So we loaded into the limo (which was really awesome on the inside! we had a lot of fun playing with the lights LOL) and went to dinner at a place called Fitz’s. Then we considered going to a bar or club, but decided to just ride around in the limo and hang out together… we hardly ever get to do that anymore, everyone is so busy and Melissa off in St Louis. So the driver drove us all around St Louis, even stopped at a gas station so we could buy candy LOL… and finally dropped us off at Melissa’s apt at midnight.
Sunday we got up and had cinnamon rolls, and then went to the science museum, which was also fun! Finally Ash, Cath and I headed home and stopped at Lambert’s (where they throw the rolls at you) for dinner.
When we got home, I saw the beautiful arbor Chase built sitting in the yard! He’s still got to stain it, but other than that, it’s finished! (It’s what we’ll be married under, and hopefully it will be something we can have in our backyard in future years!)
I started packing for the honeymoon LOL — I got one of our new pieces of luggage (from christmas – we’ve been saving them, I haven’t used them for anything!) and packed most of my swimsuits and some new clothes I’ve gotten over the past few months. Last night we went to the mall and I finally found a dress for the rehearsal dinner, along with a pink sundress and a beach bag – so I packed those, too.
I can’t believe how quick it’s snuck up on us. Everytime I think of “the wedding” I think of it as being months away, or even “next year” — now it’s 18 days away. I can’t wait to be in Mexico!
This weekend is hopefully somewhat relaxing – last minute things will need to be done but I’m hoping to spend some time just resting so I don’t get sick again. Then the thursday after that, Chase’s brother will be coming in town – then that Saturday is the lingerie shower & bridesmaids’ dinner – Chase’s parents will be in that Wednesday after that, I think, and thursday night is Chase’s bachelor party. Friday is the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner (we finally booked BBQ and CFA. it’s a simple get-together sort of thing at my aunt and uncle’s). Then… the wedding. Good grief. I know I’m rambling now so kudos to anyone who might have actually read this *_*
I’ve got to finish my gifts for my bridesmaids… I’ll be working on that once I finish dinner š
I will hopefully post some pics from this past weekend – once downloads them š
