Well, I didn’t get it today because dad wants to show the specs to the computer guy at his office, but if he gives the OK then tomorrow we’re going back and getting it.
Basically, two weeks ago I was called to the business office at school to sign a check, which happens quite often because of my student loans and what not. Well turns out she didn’t need me to sign a check, I was picking one up. It was a refund from my dropped 3D design class last semester! I figured we had to send it back to the student loan place, but when I gave it to mom, she said “you going to buy a laptop with it?” Because I’ve been wanting to buy a new computer for like, 2 years. I never really thought about a laptop, though.
I was like, no. If I use it for anything it’ll be for paris. But then I couldn’t get it out of my mind, and today dad and I went to the Gateway store and I picked out the Gateway M675CS.
Switched it to XP pro, as I can’t stand XP home. Upgraded memory to 512MB, upgraded hard drive to 80GB. Different video card and an additional battery, optical mouse and backpack carrying case, and some other stuff. All in all I went over my $2000 price, but they’ve got payment plans so it’s no big deal.
I hope dad’s office’s computer guy OKs it because I want to go back and buy it tomorrow so I can have it ASAP.
I can’t deal with these 3 old computers anymore! I want me a laptop because both Ash and Cath have laptops and I don’t. And it’s got a firewire port so my Ipod will be happy.
