Todays theme for #cosplayover40halloween is pirate and I actually have a costume more recent than my 2003 Ruby Heart to post for the first time 😹

For pirate night on our cruise, I put together this pirate Ariel look. And best part is I only had to buy the hat, everything else was parts of other costumes!

The blouse and bodice I bought for a look to wear to Six last year
The skirts are my Belle village dress skirt and my Stevie nicks skirt
The boots are my Star Trek boots
The decorations I added to the hat were leftover from Marie Antoinette, my Ariel Minnie ears, and an Elsa American doll costume I made years ago! Plus a giant dinglehopper @chasingphotography 3d printed for me.

appropriate theme for today since I feel like I just went into battle for the Marriott Dragoncon hunger games. Here’s my Valkyrie costume that I made way back in 2011, but this pic is from I cleaned it up and re-wore it to Memphis comic expo last year. Getting this wearable again after so many years was quite an adventure.

We took Duke Leto and Lady Jessica from dune part 1 to dragoncon this year, I spent a good half hour steaming out the dress and shawl and veil… and then we didn’t wear them 😹 one day we will wear these again I swear.

I kinda thought I’d end up not wearing Seven of Nine at dragoncon, out of all the costumes I brought - but I ended up wearing her for a longtime Sunday evening. The new facial appliances worked so much better than the ones from last year!

Ok now that it’s post-dragoncon, I’m thinking making about future projects, what Leia costume should I do next? I’m still missing a couple of sequel era outfits, I have the stuff to remake Endor, and there’s some comic & book stuff I’d like to do too. What do yall think?
