when it was my birthday

Go me! It’s my birthday!

Ok, so my birthday was 2 days ago, but I had my paaaarty last night. I got a purple gameboy and a powerpuff girl game from my grandparents (I had picked it out earlier this year, but I’d forgotten about it so it was a surprise! :D) and money from most everybody else. Ash got me a new monkey. He is the coolest. I named him Sir Duncan the Monk (kudos to whoever suggested that on the last monkey poll). Also a picture frame with a monkey on it, and something I’ve wanted for a long time, The Onion’s Dispatches from the Tenth Circle. Woo hoo!

Then we went to play lasertag. If you may remember, a while back I was talking about how I’d like to rent the place out and play without any little kids or “professional” players. Well, there was no reason to – we were the only people in there!! It was so cool! But you definitely had to keep moving so you could find people to shoot XD I was Wolfwood again, and Ash was Vash again (tho they misspelled it “Dash.” Ha) Cath was “Jubeliee” (another misspelling). Everybody else had boring names… (well, Kevin was Escaflowne, but they spelled it Estaflowne LOL) We finally got mom to play, I think she liked it šŸ˜€ I came in first, yay!

Then we went to eat @ Huey’s. For some reason the Harry I’d drawn on one of the booth seats a while back was gone ;_; I was upset. Then Cath Ash and I went to rent videos. Unfortunately, I forgot that Hollywood video still thinks it’s 1985 and hasn’t networked their computers – you have to have a card for every frickin Hollywood. And I was gonna get UNICO, man!!

Oh well. We came back to my house and watched Jesus Christ Superstar in french, just cause it’s funny that way.

This morning Cath got up and went to work at the Egyptian exhibit downtown. Ash and I ate breakfast and got ready and played The Sims a bit, then we went and got Na and Kristie and we all went to Peabody Place to meet Cath and eat at Jillian’s. I specifically wanted to go there… besides the fact I hadn’t gotten to see Peabody Place yet, I found out that Jillian’s is one of 2 places in Memphis that has Dance Dance Revolution. So we played it a BUNCH. I found one song I really liked and had it down pretty well by the time we left. The food… well, I don’t really remember the food. But I got dad to play DDR, and we got to watch this funny old lady try it, LOL

Then we went in this cool place I don’t remember the name of, but they had neat sunglasses.
Then to Hot Topic, which had a lot of stuff I would have liked to buy but didn’t really need to buy. I’d never been to a Hot Topic before tho.

Then to Tower Records. I wasn’t really impressed with it. They did have the black variant Kaiyodo Vash which I bought, as a present to myself. Also the 1st dvd of Ayashi No Ceres, which I watched some of while I ate dinner tonight, and so far I like it better than FY, mostly cause Aya doesn’t bother me so much as Miaka. And the Vanity Fair with the HP pics in it (what a smelly magazine!). I really like the cover, it was very inspirational.

Then we came home and I had to take a nap cause I was really tired.

Then Ash’s parents came over and the 5 of us (minus Ash! *gasp*) went to see the Vietnam Wall experience thing out at this cemetery. It’s like a travelling version of the Vietnam Wall. It looked just like the real thing… maybe smaller? I don’t know, it’s been a long time since I saw the real thing. It was really sad… I’ll talk about it later, I guess. Right now I’m gonna go to bed, cause I’m super tired. x_x
