when I loved he-man

I don’t know the hows or whys of it, but I’m suddenly loving He-Man and She-Ra again this morning. I’ve been looking for them on ebay, BIDDING on some stuff… having fond memories…

I always liked He-Man more than She-Ra. He-Man was “my show.” My parents had their shows that they never missed, He-Man was mine. I always got upset when I missed it… I was rarely like that with She-Ra. I liked She-Ra, but He-Man was there first.

But, for some reason, I only had She-Ra toys. Well, I had Battlecat, but that was it. I never even had a He-Man. (Something I’m hoping to rectify soon.)

But man, I had all the She-Ra toys. I had the freakin’ castle (which broke), I had all the horses (who broke), I had the two winged ladies (who broke), I had several versions of She-Ra (most broke). (I was rough on my toys.) I remember, the day I bought Glimmer, I was going to a birthday party. I opened her in the car and took her in with me. Somewhere along the way I lost her and never saw her again. Something ELSE I’m hoping to fix soon. Angella was one of my favourites, she had those huge pink wings you could move up and down. Of course, they broke. So did Flutterina’s. I once lost Frosta for several months. When we got out the snow boots one year, there she was, hiding in the bottom of my boot. My two favourites were Castaspella and Peek-a-Blue and Perfuma. They were cool…

I didn’t have to worry about not having He-Man. My friend Eric had all the He-Man toys. I would take all my She-Ras (including the castle) to his house and we’d have huge battles.

I’m going to go get all my She-Ras out of the attic and set them up in my room.
